The Team

Dentists

Dr. Jamie Grider graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant prior to relocating to Murfreesboro with his family. Dr. Grider opened the doors for Legacy Family Dental in 2006. Dr. Grider takes a genuine, compassionate and gentle approach to all of his dental treatment. His strong ethics and values guide him in treating each of his patients as if they were his own family. Dr. Grider is driven to connect with his patients on a personal level and values the relationships that he has been able to develop over the years. Dr. Grider is a devoted husband of 20 years to his wife, Kelley. He and Kelley have 3 teenage boys that are actively involved in sports and keep their family busy! Dr. Grider enjoys traveling, being outdoors and hunting. His greatest passion is found in serving others and his prayer is that he’s using his gifts daily in a way that glorifies the Lord.

Dr. Kindal Tatum is a Rutherford County native and graduate of Blackman High School in Murfreesboro. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and completed her undergrad studies and degree. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee’s Health Science Center in Memphis. After living in every part of the state over the last decade, Dr. Tatum is thrilled to have returned to middle Tennessee and to be able to provide exceptional dental care to the community that she grew up in. Dr. Tatum’s favorite things revolve around water… watersports, a week at the beach, or going to the lake with friends and family. She also loves cheering on the Vols, cooking and reading.

Dr. Tanya Mohsen graduated with a Biochemistry degree from MTSU and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Mohsen has dealt with dental anxiety herself and prides herself on treating each of her patients with kindness, compassion and empathy. She strives to ensure that your experience is both relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Mohsen strives to build a trustworthy and personal relationship with her patients, through honest recommendations, communication and education. Dr. Mohsen enjoys painting, traveling and trying new restaurants. She and her husband and son love to spend time together and enjoy the outdoors.

Dental Assistant

Claire grew up in Manchester, TN and completed the Dental Assisting program at Dental Staff School of Tennessee. As a kindergartener, she already knew that she was destined for a career in dentistry. Claire loves knowing that her work is dedicated to helping people each day. She has a fun-loving personality and loves to be busy. Claire is very family- oriented and enjoys being with the people that she loves the most. Her favorite free time activity is sleep!

Brennan is the oldest son of Dr. Grider and Kelley. He recently started his freshman year of college at Motlow and is majoring in Business. Outside of the office, he spends a lot of time fishing and umpiring local baseball games. He enjoys spending time with his middle school sweetheart and rooting for the Vols! Brennan enjoys a good rivalry and spends a good portion of his day antagonizing, in fun, our biggest Bama fan in the office.

Ariel is a Murfreesboro native and has been Dr. Grider’s chairside assistant for over 12 years. She joined our team after graduating from the Dental Assisting Program at Anthem Career College in 2011. She later completed courses to earn her Expanded Functions in Dental Assisting certification. Ariel strives to connect with her patients on a personal level and makes sure that they feel at-ease and comfortable when they come in for treatment. She is passionate about what she does and is always learning and growing in her profession. Ariel and her husband, Eric (she definitely gets Little Mermaid comments…,) have 2 children and spend much of their time at their church, Middle Tennessee Baptist, or various sporting events. She also enjoys reading, being outdoors and staying true to the Roll Tide.

Hygiene

Morgan is originally from Georgia and earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Augusta University in 2017. Shortly thereafter, she made her way to middle Tennessee, which she has called home ever since. Morgan’s passion for dentistry lies in building friendships with her patients. She also loves helping her patients develop small habits that grow into big differences in improving their dental health. Morgan loves the outdoors that Tennessee has to offer and spends much of her time hiking and camping alongside her loyal Labrador retriever.

Jamie chose dentistry as a career when she realized that she could enhance someone’s life by improving their smile. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Tennessee State University. She cares deeply about making sure that her patients feel comfortable and relaxed in her chair and strives to ease any fears or anxious thoughts. Jamie loves a good conversation and has a laugh that can be heard throughout the entire office. Outside of work, she loves being active, watching sports and woodworking. The only thing bigger than her love for Alabama, is her hatred for UT.

Cassie has practiced dental hygiene for over 18 years and has been a team member at Legacy for almost 5 years. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree from Chattanooga State Community College. Cassie spent much of her career in pediatric dentistry and loves developing relationships with the patients that entrust her with their care. She loves helping others achieve their optimal oral health. Cassie considers it a blessing to be in a career that she is passionate about, as well as having the privilege to work alongside amazing doctors and team members. Cassie is married to her best friend and has been blessed with 2 beautiful girls.

Kayla has been a valued member of our Hygiene team since 2014. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at TSU. Kayla and her husband have one dog and spend much of their time backpacking and traveling the world. She loves gardening and has a special affection for pigs! Patients always feel cared for when they are in her chair. She is a gentle and caringhygienist that takes great pride in providing excellent care for all of her patients, while ensuring a personal connection as well. Kayla has developed a loyal patient base and is a great asset to our team with her passion for the Lord and quiet strength.

Jayde was born in Okinawa, Japan and was raised in Murfreesboro. She married her husband in 2022 and they have a miniature Dachshund named Bean! In her spare time, she loves shopping, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Jayde’s biggest hope for our patients is that when they leave Legacy, all of their questions and concerns have been addressed. She’s helpful and compassionate and is the last smiling face you’ll see during your visit!

Stephanie is the first smiling face you will see when you visit our office! Her positive energy is contagious, and she spreads joy to everyone that she encounters each day. Stephanie has a heart to serve and met her husband during her years of military service in our U.S. Navy. She and her husband have 4 adult children who also inherited her heart for service. She will welcome you with laughs and break out in a song or dance at any given moment. She roots for the Bills and bleeds Red and Blue!

Kelley is Dr. Grider’s wife and has 23 years of experience in dentistry. She and Dr. Grider met in dental school in Indiana. They have been married for 20 years and have three teenage boys! She has a certificate in Dental Assisting, is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been in practice management for the past 17 years. Kelley loves traveling, skiing and making memories with her family& having all the fun! She’s passionate about Legacy’s team culture and ensuring that patient’s feel genuinely cared for during their visit. She’ll always find joy in a good slice of pizza, and she loves to enjoy a latte in the company of a good friend.
